A CHARTER ORDINANCE REPEALING CHARTER ORDINANCE NUMBER 76-3 AND ALL OTHER CHARTER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF CHARTER ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 15-201.

WHEREAS, the City of Andale, Kansas has been designated as a city of the third class; and

WHEREAS, the City of Andale, Kansas adopted Charter Ordinance Number 76-3 exempting itself from the provisions of K.S.A. 15-201 and providing substitute and additional provisions concerning the same; and

WHEREAS, the City of Andale, Kansas deems it advisable to reinstate the provisions of K.S.A. 15-201 and repeal Charter Ordinance Number 76-3 and all other charter ordinances and parts of charter ordinances in conflict with the provisions of K.S.A. 15-201 relating to the election and terms of the mayor and councilmembers of the City of Andale, Kansas;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ANDALE, KANSAS:

Section 1. Repeal. The City of Andale, Kansas, by virtue of the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby repeals Charter Ordinance Number 76-3 and all other charter ordinances and parts of charter ordinances in conflict with the provisions of K.S.A. 15-201. However, any part of an existing charter ordinance not in conflict herewith is not repealed and remains in full force and effect.
