A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF ANDALE, KANSAS FROM ONE PROVISION OF K.S.A. 15-209 IN CONNECTION WITH QUALIFICATION OF OFFICERS CONCERNING THE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CITY TREASURER OF THE CITY OF ANDALE, KANSAS.

SECTION 1: CHARTER ORDINANCE

The City of Andale, by virtue of this Charter Ordinance, hereby exempts itself of the requirement of K.S.A. 15-209 that the City Treasurer be an elector of the City of Andale. K.S.A. 15-209 is not uniformly applicable to all cities, and therefore the City of Andale may exempt itself from said statute by virtue of this Charter Ordinance.

SECTION 2: CITY TREASURER RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT

The City Treasurer of the City of Andale, Kansas, can be, but is not required to be, an elector or resident of the City of Andale, Kansas, in order to be appointed and to serve as the City Treasurer.
